Differential probe DIF-1
The world is going differential and so does LogProbe. Differential interconnections allow for higher performance by simpler means. Amateur Radio Operators realized this 75 years ago, and the ladder line has been a favorite for antenna feed ever since. OK, Some guys use coaxial cable!
There are three basic differential heads for LogProbe:
DIF-1 is an AC coupled connection direct to the LogProbe input via capacitors good for 250 V. The resulting differential input impedance is 1.1 kW // 12 pF.
DIF-100 is a passive device as well. A voltage divider results in 100 kW // 2 pF input impedance, a 42 dB shift of the operational range and a max input voltage of 250 V. Minimum detectable voltage is some 5 mV.
DIF-BUF As the name implies, it is a differential buffer amplifier. The gain is 1 x but the input impedance is a full 10 MW // 1.2 pF. It requires 12 V to the LogProbe.
